Nick has been sending me more music and so I have been doodling as I listened to the pieces.

Balaa warrior meets Tau in a Tavern, I believe Tau said the conversation would follow along the lines of
Tau:"husband kicked you out?" Balaa:"No had to kill the bastard..you?" Tau:"wife gave me the boot...something about my saying her bottice made her look fat" *Both go back to drinking*

Balaa as an assassin sort, she seduces her target and then slice'n'dice.

nother random sketch

a sketch to compliment a battle theme Nick sent me

another sketch to compliment a flute song nick sent me. Tau reflects upon his childhood and his parents.

Balaa warrior princess again.
Thats all for now..and uploaded my finished smilodon kitties at:http://www.deviantart.com/view/30340730/

Date: 2006-03-14 02:23 pm (UTC)Humm these are quite interesting, and differnt. In truth I actually like your four leggeds better. I dunno I just like seeing somthing of four leggers in the furry community every now and again. It breaks up the boredom of the same old anthro stuff that you tend to see time and time again. I know thats what the community is about, but it just is nice to see something different.
In truth I feel the fandom sucks in some truely talented artist, chews them up then spits them out. I feel from what I have seen of your art you are one of theose truly talented ones that has the pontential to go far beyond this thing called furry! If eel you should strtch your wings so to speak and find a way to get outside the community. I have a feeling if you stay in it to long it could destroy you as it has done to many artist in the past.
I wish you not take offense friend, I just see so much greater potential in you! You have the ability to support yourself on the more realistic stuff you do as well as the furry! In fact I would say you would have a better chance at going the realistic route than the furry!
Just some thoughts from a friend who wishes to see all his friends reach their highest true potential.
You and all those there with you take care always friend! God bless and keep you all safe always! ***Gives you a big friendly hug and nuzzle!Says,"I care enough to say what I truely believe, thus I say it!"***

Date: 2006-03-15 06:13 am (UTC)Oddly enough a few people this week have said this to me, and it is a recurring fear to get stuck in one area of art and be known for that alone and as such growing to hate it. I figure while I enjoy it I might as well pursue it and like I said, anthros are new to me...I think the idea of bringing them to life is what fascinates me and is a goal for me. In my eyes anthros are that link between humanity and the natural world, Im not sure if thats the way most of the furry community sees it that way but thats what I see.
*big hugs to the dragon friend and bringer of ever the kind word.* The best to you, thank you deeply for the words of encouragement! Don't hold back, I am glad you feel free enough to voice your opinion around me.

Date: 2006-03-16 04:19 pm (UTC)Sorry to quote what you wrote but I can really identify with that statement... That is really something that motivates my own humanoid/natural creature subject matter. Don't let anyone tell you what or what not to create. :) Draw your own creative vision, it's so important IMHO. Anyway these sketches are really nice! I especially like the second one from the top and the flutist, they have a lot of emotion. I really like the care that you've put into all of them though.
