WTF?

I was informed of several places where my art is being posted without my permission and the person(s) are claiming to be me.

Now sometimes this happens, but usually maybe once a month or so..but not 3 places in one day. I am lead to wonder if this is the same person. I don't want anyone to flame these people, I will be writing the webmasters of each of these sites and getting my work..or the usage of my legal name, removed.

To clear up for ANYONE that ever stumbles upon any galleries/blogs/whatever there may be out there where my art starts to appear, here are the places I have accounts thus far.

Furaffinity Username: Balaa
Deviantart Username: Balaa
Fanart.lionking.org Username: Balaa
Livejournal Username: xxBalaaxx

Those that I don't update frequently
Sheezyart Username: Balaa
Epilogue Username: Balaa

I may have a few other OLD accounts floating around, in those cases chances are they have not been updated for a few months to a few years in each case.

So if you see my work being uploaded on some other site that isn't listed above, pleeaase contact me. Usually I don't bother to post anything about such matters in my lj, but this just boggled my mind completely.

I had this same ordeal just recently with someone pretending to be me at Deviant. They reposted my art, descriptions, everything. Couldn’t see that they were offering prints or making money. So what was the point? Reflected glory? I don’t get it. There are some weird people out there.

It doesn't make any sense..at all..maybe it IS just for ANY kind of attention..ie bad attention in this case..and maybe thats just beyond my grip of understanding...why not invest your time and effort into building something for yourself that you can be PROUD of..instead of wasting everyones time with such pointless endeavors!?

Perhaps they are pretending to be you to make a profit. Setup a fake website like that and offer commissions. Have people send them the money and then never deliver. Your name would be smeared, but they don't care because they have the money and no one's the wiser. Because I can't honestly understand why they would use your name, your art, and your qoutes word for word. Unless of course you've got a sicko stalker with a mental problem who wishes they could BE you. Either way its bizarre.

This crap happens simply because people want someone else's popularity. It happens to be a poor kid who seek of attention and can't make something by his own hands. They could make a long journey from the start and get everything they want by THEIR OWN forces. But they choose a short way.
HAHAHA I remember one kid stole a picture from an artist named Tantu and he said that it's impossible to draw like that, and she lie that it's her property.

Oh no.... this might be the exact same girl that was doing this to me. O_O;;;; I had to shut down about 12 accounts, and STILL haven't managed to close the few she got on japanese sites.

Um....whoa. D: Some people seriously need to get a life! I'm sorry to hear this happens to you so often though. :( I just don't understand people sometimes. I hope the webmasters for each of the sites is able to take down and ban the person doing this. I wish you luck on that! And, of course, I'll be sure to also help keep an eye out for theives for ya. ;) (And smack 'em with a baseball bat when I find 'em! >:D )
