Do you ever have a day like this?



My friend Nick got the lucky chance to visit Disneyworld this past week..so of course I had to make an angry chibi commemorating the moment. His angry cuteness makes me hurt so good.


It was also his birthday yesterday and so I made him this for his birthday. I actually had fun just playing with this picture :).


A thank you badge for Arckra ^__^!! Yes sporks of fury...fear them

and a random badge for my friend Lmai who is from Canada..so course..had to do something Canadian XD....I want more beaver buzz >O.

Couldn't do a badge for Lmai without doing one for her hubby ^___^.


And ehm..I couldn't think of anything mean for Baggy to say..so his is more or less just a insidiously cute chibi saberkitty badge.

Now onto some sketches and wip's.
Wicked Sairah told me about her newest character, Murdock the racoon dog pirate..I LOVE HIM!!! All her characters just make me giddy..so had to drawr him.


Concept for a painting of Balaa. I have the mood and colors figured out but I'm still toying with compositional and background elements..and trying to decide whether to try it rm or digital :/.


Another concept sketch I came up with with much help from baggy..Initially it was going to be a fullbody piece with my black snowy Zhed stalking behind his brother Hago..but I couldn't get any poses to work so focused on their faces...I am still working on this concept..methinks I will go through several more thumbnail sketches before one really clicks.


This one started out with the idea of a very firm idea of how I wanted the scene to be lit..and I knew I wanted a female puma anthro to be the central focus of the piece..but wasn't sure of a pose. AGAIN with Baggy's help, this took shape. It's still in the early stages, but I am very certain of what I want for lighting/wtmosphere/background elements.


Recently while googling for random pictures, I came across a couple of black panthers curled up with tigers..and I was just really amused by the difference in size and how gentle the tigers seemed to be with their smaller feline counterparts..plus the contrast in species is just fun. Done in an oc session with Baggy *murr*


Nother concept for a painting ^_^..I know exactly how I want it to be lit...ehehehe the challenge wll be to see if I can actually pull it off real media!


An earliesh wip of a private commission. The guy approached me with an idea sometime ago of two tigers cuddling..and..tigers..I couldn't say no!


AND a wip of my newest character..YES FINALLY a lemur character. I decided since I wasn't sure what I wanted his personality to be like or anything as my first pic of him i'd draw him as a baby. Introducing Sorbo, my babeh lemur boy! Any suggestions for personalities?? His sister will be Zena(guess the link and you get a cookie) and Nanook123 will be her momma. Also my friend Lmai is Working on another Lemur, a red ruffed lemur called Iolas ..yay a trio of lemurs! Slowly but surely we will populate the world with lemurness.

oh and he will be holding a Mango Balloon. I really ought to just finish this pic already o_o.

In other news......

So my tablet threw another tantrum so I was without a tablet for a couple weeks. BUT thanks to arckra I now have a new pen and it turns out that was the problem all along!! It works like brand new now ^__^. But I almost feel like I've started to outgrow my little wacom graphire and am itching to upgrade to something bigger and badder..thinking an intous3 6x8(I have a Graphire4x6 right now). Anyone know of a good place to get em cheap? I don't think I can do it right away but I'm setting aside what I can for the new one *purr*. Thank you again Arckra *SHNUGS TIGHT*

Now on to arts. I have a few sideprojects I'm working on while working on my own stuff and commissions
so here are some of the stuffs!

1. Kenket/Gatcat :) (sketch in prelim stage)

3. and a buncha others who won't know until the art is done!..hopefully o_o;

If there are other folks I still owe work to but somehow overlooked in this list, let me know..chances are I have you in my que but just overlooked your name somehow o___o

To all those that have been waiting to have stuffs mailed, I've had to work around the schedules of others to have access to a car so getting to the post office has been tricky. But I have them all packaged and ready to be sent. Again sorry for the delay folks :), they should go out this coming week!

Also, I may take some smallll workeable commissions relatively soon because I need the money badly. I don't want to take big commissions until I get the bigger ones or the overdue ones finished or at the very least started.(if there is interest in chibi badges, I'll take some of those, icons, and small things like that!) I shall announce when I'm taking comms in my next journal :).
