So I calmed down a bit, I'll still be dissapointed if DA wont be able to get me my prints by thurs. The chances of that happening seem slim. So I may just cancel my order and go talk to Staples Tomorrow. Mearu told me they make nice prints, so nows as good a time as any to find out for myself.
So In the meantime I have been doing some real media pieces for the con. Not sure what they will go for or anything, but its a good excuse to get back into real media. I can't find my acrylic paints so for now its barebone prisma and micron. Its actually a good amount of fun and even with my first piece I picked up a few techniques I intend to use on future pics.
Also I came to realize tonight my printer is a butcher. I have the photo ink cartridge soooo I made a harmless decision to print some of my own prints. Great idea ey? and why not? printer..good photo paper...photo ink cartridge. SUUURE innocent enough. Except the printer takes my art, spits all over them, smears poo on them and spits them out. Stupid thing. Well I won't be doing that anymore, waste of paper and perfectly nice hair that could have otherwise remained on my head.
Now heres my first sketch that I will sell at the con. And yeh I know its kinda fleh...I messed up the anatomy something fierce..but hopefully I will improve as my pieces come along. Yeh.

annnddd a butcher job of another piece I was doing. Pencil on bristol. Yeh the scanner cut it off annnnnddddd masticated it before bestowing it to my computer. I'd like to think its not quite so crappy in person XD.

Date: 2005-10-18 01:11 pm (UTC)Trust me, if I had the money, I would giev you some so that you can buy yourself a new printer. A printer which does not eatr hair or pictures... Or anything else xD;;
I absolutely LOVE the second anthro you pasted into this journal... It is amazing, at least in my eyes ;D
Even though it is made in pencil, which is not my favourite media, I think that you have achieved a great feel of light and shadow, and therefore volume in it n_n <333

Date: 2005-10-18 02:19 pm (UTC)The snow leopard reminds me of some kind of royal figure, but I can't place exactly who. But in any case, it turned out really BEAUTIFUL. Is this what you were working on last night? Gosh, it's so eye-catching. I mean, yeah it's white, but the way you mixed the spots into the fur is really nice.
Gosh! I keep telling you this over and over, but you are going to SHINE like the North star at this con. I'll talk to you tonight, my love! <3
