So I calmed down a bit, I'll still be dissapointed if DA wont be able to get me my prints by thurs. The chances of that happening seem slim. So I may just cancel my order and go talk to Staples Tomorrow. Mearu told me they make nice prints, so nows as good a time as any to find out for myself.

So In the meantime I have been doing some real media pieces for the con. Not sure what they will go for or anything, but its a good excuse to get back into real media. I can't find my acrylic paints so for now its barebone prisma and micron. Its actually a good amount of fun and even with my first piece I picked up a few techniques I intend to use on future pics.

Also I came to realize tonight my printer is a butcher. I have the photo ink cartridge soooo I made a harmless decision to print some of my own prints. Great idea ey? and why not? printer..good photo paper...photo ink cartridge. SUUURE innocent enough. Except the printer takes my art, spits all over them, smears poo on them and spits them out. Stupid thing. Well I won't be doing that anymore, waste of paper and perfectly nice hair that could have otherwise remained on my head.

Now heres my first sketch that I will sell at the con. And yeh I know its kinda fleh...I messed up the anatomy something fierce..but hopefully I will improve as my pieces come along. Yeh.

Holy moly... I can't see the screw ups that you said are there. But wow... they both are impressive and great pieces. Don't fret.

*smashed your printer to bits* What an evil thing o___O
Trust me, if I had the money, I would giev you some so that you can buy yourself a new printer. A printer which does not eatr hair or pictures... Or anything else xD;;

I absolutely LOVE the second anthro you pasted into this journal... It is amazing, at least in my eyes ;D
Even though it is made in pencil, which is not my favourite media, I think that you have achieved a great feel of light and shadow, and therefore volume in it n_n <333

GAWD this last picture is so yummy. ::eats the shading:: Good luck at the con this weekend, my cricket! I am so proud of you; you are going to do sooooo well! Everyone is going to love you-you're going to run out of prints and drawings in the first five minutes! XD

The snow leopard reminds me of some kind of royal figure, but I can't place exactly who. But in any case, it turned out really BEAUTIFUL. Is this what you were working on last night? Gosh, it's so eye-catching. I mean, yeah it's white, but the way you mixed the spots into the fur is really nice.

Gosh! I keep telling you this over and over, but you are going to SHINE like the North star at this con. I'll talk to you tonight, my love! <3

Hmm. You might want to watch out for the line down the torso, because (in both pictures, but less so in the last one) it makes it look like we're seeing the torso head on, but the actual angle is communicating something different. just something you might watch out for.

Lovely job though! I never have patience for real media. C:

*noodles* yeappers..that was the one major flaw I noticed <_< >_>. My main problem is just getting a handle on the human body as I have never really taken the time to study it. Though, I surmise, like anything else it takes time and patience to master the skills :). Thank you for the comment.

Well, just plan to stay for all three days and see how it goes. I was uncertain the first two cons I went to (the first was an anime con) but I had way too much fun so I stayed. I dunno.

I think that you should sell it! We can look at it when you get to the con and put a price on it there. I think that people would enjoy the snowy. Also, have you thought about how much you'll charge if people want a sketch or con badge from you?

Nome haven't thought about it at all XD...I haven't a clue...just no clue..I figured id play it by ear when I got there. And Im not sure if'n I'll do conbadges this year, just kinda wanna feel my way around before I jump into anything for sure.

Yeah, I understand. I think the adverage price for a sketch is $25. That's just a pencil drawing. Nothing fancy. My first con I did what you are going to do. I didn't start selling anything until I saw a picture in the artshow that I NEEDED to buy... and made $150 on sunday. The picture was only $65. ^_^;
