*random hug of FLUFFY luff to Jannali and more randomliscious sketches*


description from dev: can't sleep, oc makes good company. I was browsing Anry's work, never knew he was from Russia. His work always inspires me, it just has so much light and atmosphere. So I doodled this. Tis a jag sitting on some ill defined mayan ruins. The basic idea is somewhere far in the future Jaguar sits reflecting on the past in what once was a lush jungle but has now become a barren tundra of sorts. I'd like to tackle painting this one sometime, the idea is very basic but I can picture the colors I'd like to use...that and it would be good practice at more 'free' painting .

anatomy/details very unpolished as it is a quick sketch...ideas for bg/colors other ideas are of course welcome.

somewhat wonky liger Balaa but with the hair tuft. I need to find some good pics of adolescent male lions to kinda figure out a way to make her tuft more believable.

study of stripes for Balaa...these aren't fully defined but the basic idea is there. In her tigon form they will be more faded and her general color will be slightly lighter but the stripe pattern will remain a constant.

I can't wait to play in painter more...ok and actually learn how to USE it this time XD.

In other news I found a talking madagascar penguin plushie at wally world for 3 bucks. SCORE XD. I used to be not much of a plushie enthusiast but I figure someday when I have a studio, I want a buncha fun happy stuff plastered all over the place so even when I am ultra stumped something is bound to inspire me...or lure me into a stupid hour long giggle fit XD.

It's funny; we were just talking about the Mayans in history the other day, but it wasn't nearly as beautiful as your jaguar here! XD ::snugs:: I really like the bottom sketch o Balaa; it really looks like you, you know? I think it has something to do with the shape of the face, like your face has always been small like a lion's, but had a more tiger-like body. Like your face is thinner without all that tiger fluff around it (so cute though XD) and the neck kind of gives way to the tigerish body with neck fluff-actually, I think you could make it more believable with the neck being really scruffy with fur that leads into your hair tuft on your head. Does that make sense? Bah, I'll just draw it! XD I LOVE all these renditions you are doing with Balaa; they are so insightful, because we are seeing how you brainstorm and such. All of them are too awesome, my love! I'll be back with sketches ::goes::

yes yes thats what Imma think ill do, I sorter tried to do that on the liger pic of Balaa laying down with there being almost a mohawk leading down the neck and fading into the fur. Also I was almost thinking of a dorsal stripe..not a prominent one but sorta a darker line leading down the spine. Dang chooo now Im gonna have to draw like a gazillion realisticish pics of Balaa XD and its..its YOUR fault my sexy kitten o fluff. Thank you hun, I feel so special with ya helping me design her...really do *LOVESlikeNUTTERS*
