I changed my Murrsona >8[.

This is my fursona now.

Lemur x wolf hybrid courtesy of a heinous fiend named Artlan.



So most of these are kinda my breaks from working on projects and other work. Im trying to teach myself not to shut down artistically. Usually when I have a backlog of work, I tend to get myself so wound up and stressed about my obligations that all art turns into work. And then I feel guilty to draw for myself when I get frustrated on a work piece..which ends up with my not drawing at all...and I'd hazard a guess that it contributes to my art blocks quite a lot. So when I get stuck, Im trying to take a break and doodle something fun..and then come back to the work pieces when I feel less frustrated. It's working wonderfully so far ^_^. I hope I can keep this up, drawing has made me feel whole again.

Anyway..onto art:

I sorta drew a Lemur Redra xD. Have another Arbo :D...not really my new fursona..Artlan and I were just stupidly chatting about what a Lemur and wolf cross would look like, and poor lil Arbo was born into creation through a serious of apocalyptic events of which we have little recollection. He likes banana bacon sammiches though.


another saber kitty. Paws turned out wonky..but I had fun throwing color on him.

Lmai has been kindly nudging me for an Oc for..well..EONS and eons..and I finally succumbed. Im glad, it was fun ^__^. Miss ya hon C:...come to FC!!! So I turned her son Liam into a bear snowy...because.

Some sketches for Bagheera whose family is known as the Bear family. Fathers day is coming up in Taiwan so I wanted to doodle some papa bear related pics C:

The wings were purely accidental. I left the start of an abandoned sketch when starting the new one, and the lines reminded me of wings when I finished the bear sketchings..so I drew wings.

And then Thistle retaliated for the horrible poofy bows in the previous post by stealing my chakram..gaaaaah. Xena <3 C:.

Been drawing scads more than that, but most of that I can't share yet >:. Thank you for all your comments, think it has helped my momentum keep rolling and a special thanks to Redra for insisting I keep posting!

for these recent ones I just take the rough sketch from open canvas (or in the case of 'Up, the pencil sketch) and just paint right over them. With some of them I do a layer over the sketch set to multiply and really fast throw on some base colors, and then flatten it and paint right over the sketch. It actually goes really fast this way C: (a LOT faster than the way I normally work anyway x) )

That makes sense! I Use Multiply for my sketch layer and paint under it, but when I color I am all over the place. I think maybe part of my messiness is due to coloring with a mouse, but part of it is also I am just sloppy! X( XD I would assume you paint in Photoshop etc. the way you paint in real life - neatly!

yeah a tablet is pretty much essential..since a lot of the brushes I use are set to pressure sensitive opacity >:. If I can get a new pen for my old graphire, I'd love to send it your way since I have both a bamboo and an intuous now C:. The tablet works perfectly, I just wear out the pens fast x) (and dropped them a lot x_X!!!)

I will have to get a tablet, then (and then practice the heck out of it! :D)! Don't worry about me, though - I mean to get one for myself anyway! (and besides, my husband is always wondering what to get me for Christmas), but thanks so much for thinking of me! I really appreciate it. I just need to get off my butt and PICK one. XD
