It's still cool out, have some art :D

Doodled last night before bed in oc and some color thrown on quickly in ps. The design is actually inspired by a zonkey (a zebra donkey hybrid). I think I'll give him another go sometime and mess around with the markings more since I am not completely won over by these. The body build was aimed more at looking like a snow leopard or lynx. I love big fluffy floppy paws and thick coats x)...and add a prehistoric twist and I am a happy camper.

So I was gonna hold off sharing him until I got the costume done, but meh. I can't seem to find any red/brown furs that are perfect for a st. bernard...so it may still be a while. I grew up with St. Bernards as a kid back in Russia. When we immigrated we somehow managed to bring a puppy (Pillar) with us to the states. Considering how hard it was for us to escape the USSR(at the time) as it was, I am surprised we managed to get her over here with us. I remember us hiding her in our train compartments xP. I also remember how heartbroken I was when we lost her in the states due to heartworms, which we never knew existed (since we never had problems with them in Russia). To this day I still love St. Bernards and so 'Up' is my homage to that love and to the furry siblings I shared my childhood with. The name has an obvious inspiration...but also just an abbreviated version of pup='up.

'Up with his patch bandana; the patches from the various places he's gone on adventure to.

And I finally dug up the second dinosaur riding picture doodled in OC with Bagheera. The way I figure it, my dinosaur ate the utahraptor :D...raawr.

Oh, it's ok! Well, if you have any suggestions, let me know! I could probably hook you up with some great tenor recordings. As a personal suggestion, I'd say you should hear Shostakovich's Piano concerto no. 2(its with orchestra if you're not really into piano...you'd like it anyway)or the Age of Gold. If you'd like me to email it to you (or anything else you may have been looking for), I've got a pretty huge collection plus access to the largest college of music's (in the US) recording library. Its fun to share music with someone who hasn't been exposed to exactly the same repertoire as me- not something that comes along much when everyone you know is in music for a living.
