Aslan was everything and so much more.
And when I first saw him I held back tears...though hard as I tried I failed. He made me realize despite all the ugly and horrible and terrifying in this world, somehow, someway the good would find its way through all the darkness and into the light of spring.
Thank you Aslan and thank you to my many Aslans whose words of encouragement and strength keep me riding through the night.
~~
Though...I always pictured Aslan with green eyes. I think it was because I always saw him as life itself and the bringer of life and so I his eyes as green, as the first sprouts of spring against a blanket of snow.
Thank you Kimahri for giving me the chance to see Narnia...it means more than I can say.
(my apologies for the splendid sappiness of this post)
